JULY 20-24 & July 27-31 SESSIONS AT THE DAVIS ACADEMY MIDDLE SCHOOL:

SESSIONS CLOSED July 20-24 and July 27-31

9:30-3:00................... MUSICAL THEATRE & PLAY PRODUCTION ........ PLAYFEST! (July 20-24) Grades Rising 1st grade to Rising 6th grade and TEEN SCENE (July 20-24) rising 7th grade-12th grade. CLOSED Emphasis on MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE,SONGS, ACTING, VOICE, PLAYWRITING, MAKE-UP, STAGE COMBAT,IMPROV, and MORE! MASTER YOUR PERFORMANCE SKILLS. Learn to create your STAR PRESENCE ON STAGE. Fully costumed Friday performance at 1:30 pm with state of the art sound and lighting system. Rising 7th- rising 10th grade may apply as junior leaders, which is the pre-requisite to applying to the MTC mentoring program for rising 11th-rising college freshmen. MTC college internships are also available and interviews begin in January for Summer 2015.

JULY 27-31 9:30am-5:30pm................... BROADWAY BOUND TEEN INTENSIVE: ON-CAMERA, AUDITION, ACTING, IMPROV, VOICE, MUSICAL CABARET & BROADWAY BOOT CAMP........Rising 7th grade and up. SESSION CLOSED
Students registering for the Teen Boot Camp must submit an audition video which includes a 16 bar (45 seconds- 1 minute). Accepted students' video auditions will be broken down during the workshop week to provide insight and constructive criticism from which the actors may grow artistically. Limited enrollment and space available.
Emphasis on on-camera acting for Film,TV,Commercials and Improvisation Comedy- Acting for Stage. Students will make an on-camera film/demo reel to highlight their work and perform in an on stage live performance cabaret/scene study showcase for agencies. This Boot camp is a MUST for any teen actor whether just beginning or a seasoned pro wishing to audition for college programs, regional theatres, and agencies/casting directors. Teen Cabaret Show Friday, July 31st @ 5p.m.



AUDITION COACHING AND ACTING/VOICE LESSONS:
BROADWAY & ON-CAMERA TEEN AUDITION COACHING.....Middle & High School Students for pre-professional and professional teens

 Selected by film audition/headshot/resume submission only or with prior approval from our director. Coachings are set up for students who have privately studied Voice, Acting, and/or Audition Technique with our Director or are wishing to take lessons/master workshops. Lessons are offered all year round subject to Ms. Kendrick's availability and openings in her coaching schedule. Summer provides the best opportunity for new students to get on Ms. Kendrick's schedule. For more information on coachings and lessons, please call the office or email us. VOCAL AND SONG COACHING FOR HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE and NATIONAL TOUR AUDITIONS and PROFESSIONAL ON-CAMERA WORK.

During the intensive process, students will attend classes in audition skills/technique, vocal coaching, song selection, preparing a monologue, cold reads, microphone technique, dance for musical theatre, headshot and resume writing, acting technique, career planning, the ins and outs of show business, tech theatre. You will be personally critiqued and guided by industry professionals.

Please call the office or email kendrick@metropolitanconservatory.com for audition coaching, voice lesson, and acting lesson rates. Individual audition coaching and voice/acting lessons are offered in 30, 45, and 60 minute increments.

If you wish to register your child for a session that is closed out, please call the office to have your child's name added to the wait list or added to the coaching schedule.

  • $50 off for additional sibling(s)
    • Refer a family new to the MTC camps (who has not trained previously with MTC or privately with Ms. Kendrick) and receive $25 off your session tuition per new family who registers.

  • Tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE. NO REFUNDS.


    • Before care and after-care services are not provided. Drop-off to camp begins 10 minutes prior to the star time of each session, should you arrive early please wait in the car with your camper(s), as staff is busy setting up for arrival and cannot provide supervision before this time.

    Pick-up is promptly at each dismissal time. We follow the FCBE standard policy for late pick-up. The first 10 minutes after dismissal time are free, every minute after the grace period is $1 per minute for every minute until parent/guardian/assigned carpool driver arrives. Please make every effort to leave in enough time to promptly pick up your camper(s).

CAMP NOTES:

  • Please bring a sack lunch, snack, and drink. At the Davis Academy location, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of the camp week, students have the option to bring lunch money and order Pizza or Chinese Food for Lunch, which they always highly enjoy!!!
  • Actors should wear comfortable clothes to move in, and a light sweater for the morning. Remember to pack shoes that can be danced in easily, if an actor has ballet slippers or character,jazz, tap shoes please bring them with you.

  • End of week presentation each Friday.
  • All Broadway Bound Shows are approx.60-70 minutes long.

  • Performance Material varies with each session and camper demographics.
