Advanced Actors are strongly encouraged to enroll in the audition/monologue workshop, in addition to the advanced camp week.
Previous Training required, at least 2 years in MTC camps, curriculums, & classes, or equivalent training.
Students who have not taken previously with MTC, should send a letter of recommendation from a current theatre teacher or performing arts director, and a videotaped audition of no more than 5 minutes in length,with one classical monologue, one contemporary monologue, and 16 bars of a standard musical theatre song.
All Advanced Students MUST submit an audition tape, headshot, and resume with the registration form.
Space
is limited. All those registering after the sessions are
full, will be placed on the wait list.
Students will explore building a portfolio, Styles of
Acting Technique & the Great Masters, Audition
Technique, Alexander Technique, Theatre History,
On-Camera Acting for TV, Film,& Commercials,
Voice-Over Technique, Directing, Producing, Dialects,
Voice, Dance,Character Study, Casting, High Comedy, Laban
Movement, and more.
A Formal Showcase will be performed at the
end of week.
